An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and driven Income and Productivity Programme Lead to join a large and forward-thinking NHS organisation.
This is a high-impact role, responsible for leading a complex portfolio of work focused on improving income capture, productivity, and financial performance across the organisation. You will play a central role in delivering efficiency programmes, supporting operational teams, and ensuring that income opportunities are maximised in line with national guidance and local priorities.
Working at a senior level, you will collaborate with clinical, operational, and finance colleagues to drive sustainable improvements and support the delivery of high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the development and delivery of the organisation's income and productivity improvement programme
- Identify and implement opportunities to optimise income recovery and coding accuracy
- Drive improvements in productivity, efficiency, and service utilisation across clinical areas
- Provide expert advice on national tariff, payment mechanisms, and financial flows
- Work collaboratively with operational and clinical teams to support service redesign and transformation
- Develop robust performance monitoring, reporting, and assurance frameworks
- Support financial planning processes, including Cost Improvement Programmes (CIPs) and efficiency targets
