The predicted salary is between 40000 - 66000 £ per year.
As the new Financial Accountant, you will work closely with the Head of Finance and manage a small team. This role will see you play a leading role in the continued success of the organisation with a broad and interesting remit of responsibilities.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Financial Accounting
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial accounts, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
Year-End Accounts
- Lead the preparation of year-end financial statements and coordinate with external auditors to ensure a smooth audit process.
VAT and Payroll
- Oversee VAT returns, payroll processes, and other statutory financial obligations.
Team Leadership
- Manage and support a small team responsible for purchase ledger, accounts receivable, and other transactional finance functions.
Process Improvement
- Review and enhance financial systems and processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, providing high-quality financial information to support decision-making.
The ideal candidate will have excellent stakeholder management and leadership skills. They will have a strong track record of providing high quality financial information and experience of working in the NFP/Charity sector.
Fully qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA preferred / Part-Qualified also considered with the right experience alongside great Excel & IT skills.
