We are seeking an experienced Interim Group Accountant to lead the production of consolidated group accounts, strengthen financial governance, and support high-quality statutory reporting. This is a senior, technically focused assignment ideal for someone with strong consolidation experience and the ability to operate confidently in a complex, multi-entity environment.

The Role

  • Group consolidation across multiple entities, ensuring alignment of accounting policies and reporting standards
  • Intercompany eliminations, balance reviews, and reconciliation of group-level adjustments
  • Delivery of monthly consolidated accounts, annual statutory reporting, and audit-ready working papers
  • Oversight of goodwill, fair-value adjustments, and non-controlling interest calculations
  • Strengthening financial controls, governance, and compliance with IFRS/FRS 102 and Group Accounting Manual requirements
  • Providing expert technical accounting advice to senior finance leaders
  • Supporting and mentoring the Financial Accounting team during a period of transition
