We are seeking a capable and reliable Vehicle Technician to join our growing workshop team. This role is suited to a technician who is confident working across internal combustion engine, hybrid and electric vehicles, and who takes pride in accurate diagnostics and quality workmanship. The salary offered reflects a structured banding approach based on experience, diagnostic capability and ability to work independently. There is clear scope to progress within the upper end of the band as skills and responsibility increase.
You will be responsible for carrying out diagnostics, servicing and repairs to a high standard, ensuring vehicles are returned safely and efficiently. This is a hands-on role within a busy working environment. We are looking for someone methodical, safety-conscious and comfortable managing their own workload.
Key Responsibilities- Carry out maintenance, servicing and repairs on ICE, hybrid and electric vehicles
- Use diagnostic equipment and technical data to identify and resolve faults
- Undertake mechanical and electrical repairs within your level of competence
- Work safely with hybrid and high-voltage systems in accordance with regulations
- Complete job cards and documentation accurately
- Identify additional repair requirements and report clearly
- Maintain a clean, organised and compliant working environment
- Work collaboratively to meet turnaround targets
- Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician
- Level 3 motor vehicle qualification (or equivalent)
- Experience working with hybrid and electric vehicles
- Good diagnostic and fault-finding ability
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong attention to detail
- Hybrid and EV training or certification is desirable, though we are prepared to support further development for the right candidate.
