Salary: Competitive, Dependent on Experience
Hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hours + overtime available
As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for loading and unloading trailers within the yard area based in Lockerbie. You will also be required to assist with operations within the factory as and when required.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Loading, unloading, and moving concrete panels and products in accordance with delivery document.
- Recording and reporting any discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Ensuring that the yard area is clean, tidy, and compliant with Health & Safety procedures.
- Undertaking basic maintenance and regular equipment checks.
- Carrying out housekeeping duties to ensure a safe, clean, and tidy working environment.
- Undertaking any relevant training in line with personal development needs and business requirements.
- Comply with the company’s policies & procedures.
- Assist with additional duties when required to support yard and factory objectives.
PERSON SPECIFICATION
- Valid Forklift and Telehandler certificates.
- Proven experience operating forklifts and telehandlers in a warehouse environment.
- A good general level of education.
- Be willing to undertake the relevant training required for the role.
- Have an understanding of Health & Safety within the workplace.
- Ability to operate within a fast-paced warehouse setting.
- Knowledge of concrete products/production.
- Ability to work under supervision and as part of a team.
