Job Description
The Practice Nurse will provide a range of high-quality general nursing services, specialist nursing advice, and patient care. Main duties and responsibilities include:
- Autonomous working
- Chronic disease management
- Cervical screening
- Child and adult immunisations
- Travel vaccinations
- Health promotion
- Child health and child protection
- Performing ECGs
- Venepuncture and requesting pathology tests
- Infection control
- Chaperoning and assisting patients
- Effective communication with the multidisciplinary team regarding patient care
- Attending and participating in clinical and practice meetings
- Proactively identifying personal and professional development needs
- Maintaining a safe and healthy environment for patients, staff, and visitors
- Carrying out duties to high standards in accordance with protocols and legislation
- Providing patient care according to current PGDs and clinical protocols
- Performing other duties as required
