An exciting opportunity has risen for a Specialty Doctor to join the Community Drug and Alcohol Team for the Rhondda and Merthyr Localities of Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board. The role involves working at the team base at Trealaw Resource Centre & Kier Hardie Health Park and the post holder will be operationally based in the CDAT. The post holder will be expected to work at other CTMUHB sites and elsewhere in the community, including patients’ homes from time to time.
Responsibilities
- Provide senior clinical input to the assessment and management of patients referred to the service.
- Work with other members of the clinical team to review referred patients and advise on management.
- Provide day‑to‑day clinical support to the CT3 trainee doctor.
- Participate in and contribute to regular team meetings.
- Liaise and communicate effectively with members of the team, other teams, and services within the Directorate, other hospital departments, and external agencies including General Practitioners and Social Services.
- Maintain appropriate clinical records and undertake necessary correspondence and administration.
- Support the team for the management of controlled drug prescriptions within the service.
- Support the team with routine administrative duties.
- Write reports as required.
