We are looking to recruit a practitioner psychologist to provide specialist provision within CTM's adult community mental health teams. The successful candidate will join a diverse and passionate team of psychologists working across the community teams in CTM. Senior colleagues will provide support and mentoring to the successful candidate to develop within the post, and to engage in CPD. The CMHT psychologists are also currently engaged in an exciting period of service development where there are many opportunities to be involved and work within your area of interest.

Responsibilities

  • Lead in promoting psychological ways of understanding and working across adult mental health, including service development and application of evidence-based, trauma informed models within CMHTs and working with complex and long-term service users.
  • Undertake complex clinical work, develop and deliver group programmes, provide training and supervision, formulation and professional reflective spaces for colleagues in psychology and other disciplines.
  • Support and collaborate with senior colleagues for mentoring and professional development.
  • Engage in CPD and undertake further training in relevant specialist areas.
  • Monitor and evaluate service developments and provide regular reports as appropriate.
  • Work autonomously within professional guidelines and the overall framework of the service's policies and procedures.

Qualifications

  • Qualified practitioner psychologist, with experience in adult community mental health settings.
  • Experience in service development, evidence-based and trauma-informed practice.
  • Strong clinical skills in complex assessment and intervention, group work, training and supervision.
  • Good communication and organisational skills.
  • Welsh skills desirable: speaking & listening skills at Level 3 (equivalent to CEFR B2) or above.
