Our Junior Clinical Fellow posts are an ideal opportunity to work in a supportive clinical environment with dedicated non-clinical time for portfolio development.
The posts will have dedicated non-clinical time (20% of rota time) to develop a portfolio of your choice, ideas include:
- Educational Fellow – 6 months (with an option to progress SIM training)
- Quality Improvement Fellow – 1 year
- Ultrasound Fellow – 1 year (with a commitment to sign off level 1 competence by the end)

Main duties of the job
The successful candidates will be part of a team of 13 junior doctors in a busy district general hospital Emergency Department (ED). You will work alongside nine middle grade doctors & eight consultants in a multi-disciplinary team including ENPs and ACPs providing front line care to an undifferentiated case mix. The successful applicant will participate in a full shift rota providing 24-hour shop floor cover. The department provides a consultant-led service with ample opportunity for supervision. This post is fixed term for up to 6 months. There is direct consultant shop floor cover approximately 12 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Job responsibilities
The Post Holder will be required to perform the full range of duties outlined in the job description. The Emergency Department provides a 24/7 service; therefore, the post holder will be expected to cover a mixture of shifts including days, evenings, nights and weekends.
