This is an exciting opportunity to develop professionally within a safeguarding and public protection role by joining the corporate safeguarding team at Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board. The specialist post supports the statutory safeguarding functions of the health board and demonstrates professional leadership to help meet Health and Care Standards regarding safeguarding.
Responsibilities
- Work as part of the UHB Safeguarding Team to provide specialist advice and support in relation to child protection, adults at risk and domestic abuse to all staff within CTMUHB.
- Support and facilitate the revision, development and oversight of safeguarding children, adults at risk, DoLS and domestic abuse processes for the UHB.
- Represent CTMUHB in multi‑agency forums such as strategy meetings, conferences and core groups to ensure appropriate and proportionate information is shared to safeguard children and adults.
- Where necessary act as chair for safeguarding meetings where a multi‑disciplinary/multi‑agency approach is required to safeguard children and adults.
- Support the delivery of national safeguarding frameworks, strategies, policies and guidance.
Desired Qualifications
- Welsh language skills desirable: speaking and listening at Level 3 (equivalent to CEFR B2) or above is an advantage; fluency is not required.
