The Occupational Therapist position is a 1.0 WTE, fixed‐term secondment for 12 months covering maternity leave. The role delivers urgent community response services within an Intermediate Care Team, focusing on promoting independence, dignity, and well‐being.
Responsibilities
- Provide high‐standard Occupational Therapy interventions across the Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board (CTMUHB) localities, health board sites, community settings, and patient homes.
- Optimise safe and timely discharge from inpatient stays for patients requiring ongoing care or prevent admission with interventions managed at home.
- Autonomously work alongside multidisciplinary team members to deliver evidence‐based clinical management for patients referred within the defined specialist clinical area.
- Assess and devise Occupational Therapy treatment plans for patients within the service.
- Deliver and lead training programmes, taking delegated responsibility from the Senior Occupational Therapist/AHP Lead.
- Manage patients at risk of unnecessary hospital discharge delay or admission, providing assessment and treatment plans.
Qualifications
- Post‐registration experience as an Occupational Therapist.
- Capacity to work as an autonomous practitioner within a defined specialist clinical area.

Language Skills
Welsh speaking & listening skills at Level 3 (equivalent CEFR B2) or above are desirable but not essential.
