Role Overview
The post holder will provide services within stroke medicine to Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board, with responsibility for the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of illness in Stroke Medicine.
Responsibilities
- Provide ongoing care for patients, including proper delegation and staff training.
- Collaborate with Consultant colleagues to ensure proper functioning of the department in line with operational policy and strategic plans.
- Participate in a non‑resident 1 in 6 stroke thrombolysis and thrombectomy on‑call covering the acute stroke sites in CTMUHB, conducted remotely with provided IT equipment.
- Act as educational and clinical supervisor for junior medical staff assigned, overseeing their training and providing career advice.
- Develop and improve stroke services within the health board.
Term
This is a fixed‑term post for up to 9 months to cover maternity leave.
