The Haematology Clinic Clerk/Typist will play a crucial and active role in achieving the smooth day to day running of the Clinical Haematology service. The post holder will work closely with consultants, nurses, admin colleagues and other professionals to provide a high quality service to all staff within CTMUHB, our patients and their relatives. The post holder will be required to understand all aspects of the appointment system and administration of the Haematology clinics.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Clinic Clerk/Typist to join a friendly and enthusiastic team within the Haematology Department. The post will be based at Royal Glamorgan Hospital, but the successful candidate may need to travel between all sites to meet the needs of the service. If you like working in a varied role in a busy environment, have excellent interpersonal/communication skills and enjoy working as part of a strong team that is committed to providing the highest quality care, we would like to hear from you.
Responsibilities- Support the day to day running of the Haematology clinics and contribute to an efficient appointment system.
- Work collaboratively with consultants, nurses and admin colleagues to ensure a high quality service to patients and relatives.
- Applicants must have relevant qualifications or equivalent level of experience.
- Be a team player with excellent organisational skills and the ability to work well under pressure and to tight deadlines.
- Accuracy and prioritisation skills are essential.
- Welsh Skills Desirable: Speaking & Listening at Level 3 (equivalent to CEFR B2) or above. This is an advantage in short-listing; not essential.
