An enthusiastic, flexible and motivated Band 3 Healthcare Support Worker is required to join our busy, friendly team in Radiology. The post will be based at Prince Charles Hospital and the successful candidate will be expected to support other Radiology Departments across the organisation.
Applicants should have a good standard of general education including numeracy and literacy skills, and a commitment to undertake training to NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care/Clinical Healthcare Support.
Main Duties:- Act as a pivotal role in the patient pathway within Radiology, supporting clerical and clinical duties as required.
- Support trained and medical staff to provide safe care for patients within Radiology.
- Support qualified staff in the numerous disciplines within Radiology using knowledge and skills developed in the role.
- Respond to routine queries, provide encouragement, reassurance and care to patients undergoing intimate examinations.
- Liaise with other disciplines to discuss patient preparation, appointment times, and transport needs.
- Contribute to service improvements and communication ensuring safe and timely patient care.
- Assist with flexible support to meet service needs across Radiology departments.
- NVQ Level 3 in Healthcare (or equivalent).
- Previous experience in a hospital or care setting.
- Good communication skills.
- Good organisational and time‑management skills.
- Welsh language speaking and listening skills at Level 3 or above (desirable).
- Team worker who is able to work autonomously.
- Motivated, non‑judgemental attitude.
