Join our dedicated team in Cwm Taf Morgannwg and play a vital role in ensuring the safe, efficient, and effective operation of our services. As Maintenance Supervisor you will oversee the day to date running of a team of craftsmen and semi skilled staff, along with contract staff, to ensure compliance with Health Board standards, policies and procedures. You will provide technical advice, training, and support where needed. You will have a broad practical knowledge of engineering and building practices, with the ability to work with the team to find solutions to technical challenges.

Main duties of the job:

  • Ensuring maintenance repairs, minor works, and planned preventative maintenance is undertaken.
  • Supervision of a multidisciplinary team of craftsmen and semi skilled staff, including contract staff where needed.
  • Provide technical advice, training, and support to team members.
  • Support the development of staff through mentoring and skills development.
  • Ensure compliance with Health Board policies, procedures, and statutory requirements.
  • Manage resources effectively to maintain operational efficiency and safety.

Qualifications:

  • Time served apprenticeship / modern apprenticeship ONC / HNC/ Certificate

Experience:

  • Significant experience within a maintenance environment, post apprenticeship
  • Hospital Experience

Skills:

  • Good negotiation and influencing skills.
  • Able to produce and interpret reports.
