A job opportunity has arisen for a successful candidate to join part of our busy Hotel Services Team on sites at Ysbyty Cwm Rhondda Hospital. The positions will support the Facilities (Hotel Services) team in delivering Housekeeping and Catering services to the National Standards for these services in NHS Wales, HIW standard 5 and 9 and Organisational Standards.
Main duties of the job:
- The successful candidate will be required to work within a patient environment and previous experience would be an asset.
- The main duties of the post include general cleaning of all areas of the Hospital in accordance with departmental schedules and specifications and in line with the National Standards of Cleanliness.
- In the event of service pressure, successful candidates may be required to perform catering duties.
- Flexibility is essential, and the successful candidates will be expected to adapt to service pressures and modernization.
- The successful candidates would need to be flexible with regard to movement throughout all Health Board sites.
- The successful candidate must observe and maintain the highest standards of confidentiality, courtesy and consideration to all patients and fellow employees.

Person Specification:
- Previous experience of cleaning and catering duties.
- Some experience of working within a hospital environment.
- Able to demonstrate literacy, numerical and comprehension skills sufficient to be able to read and understand written instructions.
