The post holder will work as a member of the District Nursing Service under the direction and supervision of the Team Leader District Nursing. The post holder will contribute to the implementation of nursing care as assessed and prescribed by the Registered Nurse. This will include working in a multi-disciplinary and multi-agency arena alongside the primary health care team.
This post is fixed term/secondment for 24 months to cover a secondment. If you are interested in applying for the secondment position, you must obtain permission from your current line manager prior to applying for this post.

The post holder will hold Level 3 NVQ/QSF in a health care associated certificate or possess skills, knowledge and experience to equivalent level, and be prepared to commit to begin this qualification within 3 months of commencing in the role.
Welsh Skills Desirable: This post is advertised as Welsh Desirable. This doesn’t mean essential; whilst the candidate doesn’t need to have skills in Welsh, we will consider it an advantage when short-listing and selecting candidates. This isn’t fluency, just Speaking & Listening skills at Level 3 (equivalent to CEFR B2) or above. Level 3 means basic conversations with patients about their everyday health.

Qualifications- Level 3 NVQ/QSF in a health care associated certificate or possess skills, knowledge and experience to equivalent level and be prepared to commit to begin this qualification within 3 months of commencing the role.
- Level 4 Diploma in Health Care related study.
- Interpersonal and communication skills.
- Experience in providing care and undertaking clinical observations.
- Experience in a range of clinical skills including palliative care.
- Previous caring role.
- Ability to engage members of the public.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- IT literacy.
- Local knowledge of statutory and voluntary services.
- Ability to diffuse difficult/threatening situations.
- Able to work in a multi-disciplinary/multi-agency arena.
- Organisational skills.
- Welsh Language Skills (Level 3 and above/B2) are Desirable for this Role.
