Overview
The successful candidate will work as part of the Ward B2 team in Ysbyty Cwm Rhondda to provide nursing support to adults with rehabilitation needs and enhanced care needs, and to support complex discharge planning. We are looking for compassionate, motivated and reliable individuals who have a desire to care for adults in the community hospital setting. You will be part of a team delivering personalised care, with opportunities for learning and development through in-service training, regular appraisals and clinical supervision. English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing support to adults with rehabilitation needs and to support complex discharge planning, ensuring discharge to the most appropriate destination.
- Be part of the team caring for patients in the community hospital setting.
- Support learning within an open and fair culture and participate in in-service training, regular appraisals and clinical supervision.
- Work within an integrated team and be supported by registered nurses, Ward Manager and Deputy Ward Manager.
- Support informal visits for applicants to familiarise themselves with services and ask questions.
Qualifications and requirements
- Compassionate, motivated and reliable individuals with a desire to care for adults in the community hospital setting.
- Band 2 vacancy within Community Hospitals in CTMUHB.
- Welsh Desirable: Speaking & Listening skills at Level 3 (equivalent to CEFR B2) or above; not essential but advantageous when short-listing.

Shift patterns and working arrangements
The Health Board operates several shift systems; the most common are 12.5-hour shifts, inclusive of unpaid breaks. Shift patterns are subject to review and changes may be made.
