About the Role
Join the team of Consultants responsible for providing Obstetric & Gynaecological services across Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board (CTMUHB). This fixed‑term post (up to 12 months) covers maternity leave and will be based at Princess of Wales Hospital, while clinical activities are across the board.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the provision of a first‑class clinical service.
- Provide effective leadership to all staff within the speciality.
- Sustain and develop teaching and research where appropriate.
- Undertake all work in accordance with the Health Board's procedures and operating policies.
- Conduct clinical practice in line with contractual requirements and the CSG and UHB service plans.
- Maintain confidence in business plans and development strategies for the speciality, CSG and UHB.
- Lead and build the multidisciplinary team.
- Support and train multidisciplinary team members.
- Deliver care in the acute hospital setting.
- Participate in CPD, including audit, teaching and training medical undergraduates and postgraduates.
- Act as educational supervisor for junior and middle grade medical staff.
- Undertake regular multidisciplinary clinical audit and provide evidence‑based medicine.
