Contract: Fixed term/secondment for 14 months to end 31 March 2027 due to funding.

About the role

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a new cross‑sector initiative focused on improving outcomes for children and young people. The Wellbeing Administrator will play a central role supporting the Wellbeing Co‑ordinators and providing an effective administrative service to aid the efficient running of the SPACE Wellbeing Service.

Welsh Skills Desirable: This post is advertised as Welsh Desirable. This does not mean essential; a level 3 (B2) speaking & listening may give an advantage. No fluency required.

Main duties

Administrative tasks and collection/input of statistical information on client activity in line with local and national Welsh Assembly Government requirements.

Portray a positive image and liaise professionally with clients, colleagues and visitors.

Work independently, plan and prioritise own workload, ensuring systems are in place to meet deadline requirements for CTM, Local Authority and Welsh Assembly Government.

Travel across CTM localities: Merthyr, Bridgend and Rhondda Cynon Taff.

Qualifications and Knowledge

  • Good general education to GCSE level or equivalent.
  • RSA Level II or NVQ Level III or equivalent knowledge and experience.
  • IT skills: word processing, Microsoft Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, WPAS (Myrddin) and Oracle.
  • Understanding of the SPACE Wellbeing Service.

Experience

  • Previous experience in a similar role.
  • Ability to handle difficult situations.
  • Experience establishing new systems of work.
  • Previous experience working within a health/social care setting.

Skills and attributes

  • Work effectively in a team environment.
  • Good communication skills with families and professionals.
  • Proven organisational skills.
