Overview
Become a Middle Grade doctor covering both Obstetrics and Emergency Gynaecology in a full shift rota at Cwm Taf Morgannwg (CTM) University Health Board. The role includes outpatient clinics for Gynaecology and Ante‑Natal care, assisting Consultants in theatre, attending governance and MDT meetings, and participating in teaching and reflection sessions. Welsh and English speaking skills are welcomed.
Responsibilities
- Attend a 1:11 Full Shift System, including on‑call duties at Prince Charles Hospital.
- Assess, monitor, treat and follow‑up emergency patients under Consultant supervision, including Labour Ward cover.
- Assist Consultants in theatre for Obstetrics and Emergency Gynaecology.
- Participate in outpatient clinics for Gynaecology and Ante‑Natal care.
- Attend governance and MDT meetings, teaching and reflection sessions.
- Cover planned leave commitments of the middle grade structure.
Shift Pattern
Full Shift System: one week of nights per 11‑week cycle with built‑in prospective cover. Call duties are carried out in Prince Charles Hospital.
Location
CTM University Health Board, operating three District General hospitals in Bridgend, Merthyr Tydfil, and Rhondda Cynon Taf. The role is based at Prince Charles Hospital.
Pay and Contract
Pay is based on current applicable pay scales and may change with the new framework agreement.
