Role Overview

To support the Facilities (Hotel Services) team in delivering Housekeeping and Catering services to the National Standards for these services in NHS Wales, HIW standard 5 and 9 and Organisational Standards. This role supports Restaurant & patient Catering Assistants within the busy Catering Team at Prince Charles Hospital, ensuring services meet departmental schedules and specifications while complying with all cleanliness and legislative requirements such as the Food Safety Act 1990, Food Hygiene (Wales) Legislation 2006, Food Handling policies, COSHH and HACCP procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver catering service within our Restaurant & Catering Stores at Prince Charles Hospital in accordance with departmental schedules and specifications and in line with all cleanliness and legislative requirements that govern the delivery of the Catering Service.
  • Adapt to service pressures and modernization, providing flexibility and support across all Health Board sites as required.
  • Observe and maintain the highest standards of personal hygiene, confidentiality, courtesy and consideration to all patients and fellow employees.
  • Work on a flexible, part‑time basis with a 21‑hour schedule (2 positions available).
  • Participate in team meetings, training sessions and any related Hospitality & Hotel Services initiatives.

Qualifications & Eligibility

  • Applicants who are not UK or Republic of Ireland nationals will require sponsorship to obtain either a Health and Care Visa or a Skilled Worker Visa unless they already hold permission to work via another route.
  • Ability to speak Welsh is desirable; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
  • All positions are subject to relevant checks, including a Disclosure and Barring Service check and, where required, Professional Registration verification.
