An exciting opportunity has arisen for a successful candidate to join our busy team within the Hotel Services department and support the Supervisory Team in providing service guidance and support to staff responsible for service delivery, quality and monitoring and improving efficiency within the Hotel Services departments and at ward and department level at a community hospital and healthcare setting.
The post holder will operate as a supervisor at Prince Charles Hospital managing Catering Services ensuring that patient feeding services and restaurant services are delivered to agreed specification, resources are adequate and available, and staffing levels are maintained.
Report to and work with the responsible Hotel Services Team Leader to implement all services, operational policies, procedures, schedules of work, safe systems of work, audit their implementation and ensure documentation is kept up to date.
Review working practices regularly to respond to legislation, internal and external influences such as Agenda for Change, the Working Time Directive, Benchmarking, Health & Safety and employment legislation and new service developments.
The post holder will be required to perform supplementary duties to respond to service needs that are appropriate to the Facilities services and in line with their banding. The post holder will be expected to work at any of the Health Board sites and to fulfil any job allocated, commensurate with the banding.
Qualifications
Welsh Skills Desirable: This post is advertised as Welsh Desirable. This doesn't mean essential; whilst the candidate doesn't need to have skills in Welsh, we'll consider it an advantage when short-listing and selecting candidates. This isn't 'fluency', just Speaking & Listening skills at Level 3 (equivalent to CEFR B2) or above. Level 3 means basic conversations with patients about their everyday health.
