Job Summary
Oversee the strategic development and implementation of 4D models, integrating time and scheduling dimensions with 3D design. Optimise project visualization, coordination, and communication by leading the application of advanced 4D planning methodologies.
Salary - circa £80,000 dependant on experience

Main Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain quality procedures related to 4D planning.
- Lead the implementation of 4D planning strategies.
- Lead the implementation of 4D planning strategies, ensuring the validation of program sequences.
- Link the 3D design model (produced by the Design team) with the project programme (produced by CWCL Project planner) to create an animated diagram of the construction sequence (4D Model).
- Liaise with the design team to agree and ensure the 3D/4D protocol is adhered to.
- Carry out programme / sequence analysis and report key findings.
- Establish, generate and manage a project 4D model (workflow), set up at regular intervals a visual progress reporting, forecasting and look ahead to compare planned progress against actual progress.
- Import information from third parties into the 4D Model.
- Lead the management of 4D and video files, overseeing outcomes and production.
- To assist in the development of logistics requirements and incorporate these into the 4D model, including temporary works, vehicle routes, tower crane layouts, etc.
- To assist in the analysis of the 4D model with respect to efficiency and practicable construction methodologies.
- To work closely with the Project Planner and the construction team conveying and representing all related aspects.
- During the construction phase, to work with the trade contractors to develop 4D models for specific, complex areas.
- Staying updated with industry trends, new technologies, and best practices.
- Training and Development: Provide leadership and mentorship to less experienced team members fostering their professional growth and competence.
- To carry out any other reasonable duties as requested and assigned by the Project Planner.
- Discharge responsibilities for Health and Safety as set out in the Canary Wharf Group Health Safety and Welfare manual also the Canary Wharf Group Construction Health and Safety Plan both in respect of the package and integration of the overall project.
PERSON SPECIFICATION
- It is essential that the incumbent has significant recent experience in a construction role, with some exposure to project planning.
- Computer Literacy is an essential requirement of this role and it is essential that the incumbent has proven recent experience of AutoDesk, Revit and 4D planning software (Synchro/Fuzor/Navisworks)
- Degree or other industry recognised qualification related to 4D planning / BIM / Construction.
- Working knowledge of Asta Power Project.
- Technical construction knowledge through both design and construction project phases.
- The possession of a positive and helpful attitude is essential, as is a strong customer service orientation.
- It is essential that the incumbent can maintain excellent working relationships with the rest of the project team and all levels of the organisation, on a one-to-one and group basis.
- It is essential that the incumbent be able to prioritise and schedule a constant flow of work.
- The individual should possess good communication skills (both verbal and written).
- A commitment to continuous improvement is essential to this role, as is the requirement that the incumbent keep up to date with Construction issues and CDM regulation compliance.
