The predicted salary is between 32666 - 32666 € per year.
To undertake prescribed maintenance tasks as directed by the Residential Building Manager / Engineering Supervisor. The post holder will carry out planned painting and decorating tasks and varied minor building fabric repairs.
Working Hours: Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm
Salary: £32,666 per annum.
Main Responsibilities:
- To carry out painting and decorating of the common areas and apartments of the Vertus portfolio and to attend other minor fabric maintenance works as appropriate.
- To adopt a flexible approach in respect of other skills or trades to ensure the most cost effective completion of all tasks.
- To undertake other skilled tasks in which competence has been demonstrated.
- To achieve the highest possible standard of painting and decorating, working in an efficient manner ensuring that each task is carried out in accordance with the set requirements and instructions.
- To assist in ensuring that all working areas are kept clean and tidy and all refuse and waste materials are removed as appropriate.
- To be thoroughly familiar and comply with the Company's "Health & Safety" policy and procedures and to immediately report any hazards or infringements to either the Residential Building Manager or Engineering Supervisor.
- To undertake other reasonable duties as requested by the Residential Building Manager or Engineering Supervisor.
Person Specification:
- A relevant qualification in either City & Guilds or NVQ is essential.
- To have an enthusiastic and positive attitude, able to adhere to agreed programmes of work.
- The post holder is required to be tidy and presentable at all times.
- Be able to work as a team member or alone and to communicate effectively at all levels.
- To be customer focused and diplomatic in their approach.
- Be self motivated and able to make decisions to the benefit of the business.
- Although full training will be given and all safety equipment supplied it will be essential that applicants are able to work at heights indoors.
- The incumbent must have an appreciation of the importance of customer service and how this is applied in the context of Canary Wharf.
- Previous experience working in a modern building environment, and able to demonstrate an understanding of the requirements of a painter and decorator for a residential environment.
