CWG Technology is a UK technology consultancy delivering AI, cloud, and data solutions within enterprise organisations. We're hiring a Data Scientist to join a delivery team for an enterprise client programme.
About the role
You’ll work end-to-end — framing the problem with stakeholders, building and validating models against real enterprise data, and supporting their path to production alongside our engineering team. This is hands‑on delivery work in a production environment, not pure research.
Responsibilities
- Frame business problems as data science problems and translate findings back into business language
- Build, validate, and iterate on ML and statistical models against real enterprise data
- Engineer features and work with data engineers on reliable data pipelines
- Support model deployment, monitoring, and governance alongside the engineering team
- Communicate results and trade‑offs clearly to technical and non‑technical stakeholders
Essential skills
- Strong Python and the core data science stack (pandas, scikit‑learn, etc.)
- Solid grounding in statistics, ML modelling, and model evaluation
- SQL and comfort working with large, messy enterprise datasets
- Experience taking models beyond notebooks toward production
- Clear communication with business stakeholders
- Experience in regulated environments (banking, financial services, insurance)
- Exposure to MLOps, model monitoring, or explainable AI
