An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly experienced Credit Controller to join a growing organisation based in St Albans. Reporting into the Finance Manager, this is a newly created role where you will take on sole responsibility for the company’s credit control function. As well as hands-on credit control duties, you will also be responsible for enhancing the company’s current collection processes and procedures to ensure maximum efficiency.
Duties include:

Chasing outstanding debt via phone and email

Efficient handling of internal and external queries through to resolution

Producing and distributing various monthly debtor reports to the business

Advising internal departments on credit decisions, putting accounts on stop/hold as and when required

Managing interest due on overdue debt

Producing client statements when requested

Reviewing and monitoring current credit control processes and procedures, and identifying areas for improvement

5+ years of experience within commercial credit control

Strong communicator, with the ability to liaise at all levels effectively (internally and externally)

Ability to prioritise workload effectively

Good knowledge of Excel

Organised and accurate with excellent attention to detail

Enthusiasm and ‘cando’ attitude

Ability to work under pressure
