Help Shape the UK’s Energy Future. Document Controller Opportunity with the Civil Works Alliance (CWA), Supporting Sizewell C.

As part of the CWA (Civil Works Alliance), you will support the building of Sizewell C. Sizewell C will be a 3.2-gigawatt power station generating low-carbon electricity for around 6 million homes and will play a key role in our energy future, supplying reliable, clean electricity for at least 60 years. This role will be within the Main Civil Works Section.

What will you do?

This is an excellent opportunity for a highly organised and detail-focused professional to join a fast-paced project environment where information control, quality, and collaboration are critical to success. The Document Controller will manage document control activities across the Main Civil Works section, ensuring all project information is accurately recorded, controlled, and issued in line with project standards and client requirements.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing registration, filing, dispatch, and archiving of formal documents within EDMS systems
  • Tracking reviews, approvals, comments, and document workflows
  • Quality checking documentation for compliance, formatting, and completeness
  • Coordinating with internal teams, suppliers, and the client from document issue through to acceptance
  • Managing project deviations such as RFIs, NCRs, Field Change Requests, and observations through to closure
  • Supporting handover documentation and quality record compilation
  • Allocating document numbers and ensuring correct metadata capture
  • Controlling superseded and obsolete documents
  • Producing weekly, monthly, and progress reporting as required
  • Providing training and guidance to users on document control systems and processes
