Sizewell C’s business is to design, finance, construct, commission, operate, maintain, and eventually decommission the nuclear power plant and related infrastructure at Sizewell C in Suffolk. Overall, whilst the Company is in the construction phase, the Boards’ principal focus is on the development and construction of Sizewell C on time, on budget and to the highest quality and safety standards. The Company is maturing to meet all these requirements.

Sizewell C is economically regulated by OFGEM under the RAB model similar to other UK electricity distribution networks and Thames Tideway. Sizewell C construction strategy is to replicate the design of Hinkley Point C, using the majority of the same supply chain, but innovating in the way it is delivered to achieve savings in time and cost of around 20%. The CCO will need to be guided by and incorporate lessons learned from the Hinkley Point C commercial delivery to achieve Sizewell C’s ambition.

Following Financial Completion and Revenue Commencement, Sizewell C is fully funded and is owned by; The Secretary of State for Energy Security and Net Zero representing HM Government, La Caisse, Centrica, EDF and Amber Infrastructure.

Location: Based in Suffolk on a hybrid basis with travel to other offices as required.

Contract: Permanent, full-time.

About the Role: We are looking for a strategic and delivery focused Business Architect to join the Sizewell C programme. This role is critical in shaping and aligning business processes, operating models, and organisational capabilities to support the successful delivery of one of the UK’s most significant low‑carbon infrastructure projects.

As a Business Architect, you will bridge the gap between strategy and execution, ensuring that business needs are translated into effective solutions that drive efficiency, consistency, and long‑term value. You will contribute to the ongoing development of the Business Architecture capability, taking ownership of high‑quality outputs and actively supporting a collaborative, high‑performing team culture.

You will operate with a service‑driven mindset, delivering Business Architecture services aligned to the wider Digital Business strategy, while continuously developing your professional skills, awareness of industry best practice, and emerging techniques. You will act as a credible ambassador for Digital, building strong relationships with stakeholders, confidently presenting to senior audiences, and providing subject‑matter expertise across your projects.

You will uphold and role‑model core values, mentor and support colleagues, and contribute to improving team standards, ways of working, and shared resources. You will take responsibility for effective stakeholder engagement, governance progression, and transparent documentation using agreed governance toolsets, ensuring accurate reporting of pipeline activity and proactive identification of risks or emerging demand.

About You:

  • Proven experience in a Business Architect or similar strategic role.
  • Strong understanding of business architecture frameworks and methodologies.
  • Experience working on large‑scale infrastructure, construction, or energy projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to design and implement target operating models.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and influencing skills at senior levels.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem‑solving capabilities.
