Sizewell C is moving into a critical delivery phase following Financial Completion, creating exciting opportunities for experienced Project Managers to join the Engineering & Delivery function across a range of major programme areas. This is a rare opportunity to work on a nationally important project, helping deliver a new generation nuclear power station that will provide low‑carbon electricity to around 6 million homes for decades to come.
We are looking for ambitious, delivery‑focused Project Managers who thrive in technically complex environments and are motivated by working at scale, influencing major decisions and driving progress across high‑profile engineering and construction programmes.
The Role
As a Project Manager at Sizewell C, you will play a key role in advancing engineering design, securing critical supply chain capability and preparing major contracts for delivery. Working closely with multidisciplinary teams, suppliers, the Responsible Designer (RD), quality teams and key stakeholders, you will help drive the successful delivery of Systems, Structures and Components (SSCs) across the programme. You will be responsible for ensuring engineering and procurement activities are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the high standards expected within a regulated nuclear environment.
Depending on your experience and interests, opportunities are available across:
- Mechanical, Electrical & HVAC (MEH) Supporting the development and mobilisation of the MEH Alliance delivery model, helping establish efficient, collaborative delivery strategies informed by lessons learned from Hinkley Point C.
- Nuclear Island (NI) Managing groups of systems, buildings and contracts within the Nuclear Island programme, supporting delivery of highly complex scopes valued up to £100m. Supporting the development and delivery of major civil engineering work packages, including engineering, procurement, manufacturing, construction and commissioning activities across large‑scale infrastructure scopes.
- Conventional Island & Balance of Plant (CI/BOP) Leading engineering contract delivery and coordinating multidisciplinary teams to ensure critical plant and infrastructure systems are delivered safely, efficiently and compliantly.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Driving delivery of engineering studies and design activities across your programme area
- Working with multidisciplinary teams to prepare manufacturing, construction and engineering contracts
- Supporting the procurement and management of major contracts and suppliers
- Managing interfaces across systems, contracts and programme areas to ensure integrated delivery
- Driving implementation of site‑specific design changes and ensuring robust technical solutions
- Supporting replication of Hinkley Point C designs while identifying opportunities for improvement and efficiency
- Managing technical risks, obsolescence challenges and supply chain issues
- Developing and implementing delivery strategies aligned to the Programme Execution Plan
- Monitoring delivery against cost, schedule, quality and safety requirements
- Supporting lessons learned, continuous improvement and knowledge capture across the programme
- Building strong relationships across internal teams, contractors, suppliers and stakeholders

What We’re Looking For
We’re interested in hearing from candidates with experience delivering engineering or project management activities within complex, highly regulated or major infrastructure environments. You may currently work within:

You’ll Ideally Bring
- Experience coordinating multidisciplinary engineering or procurement activities
- Project management or project engineering experience across the project lifecycle
- A background in mechanical, electrical, process, systems or civil engineering
- Experience managing interfaces across large, complex projects
- Understanding of contract procurement and supplier management
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Experience working within EPCM or large infrastructure delivery models
- Knowledge of cost, risk, schedule and change management principles
- Experience working with contractors, consultants and delivery partners
Experience within nuclear or other regulated industries would be advantageous, but is not essential. Professional qualifications such as Chartered Engineer status or formal project management certifications are welcomed.
