Help shape the UK's energy future with the Civil Works Alliance (CWA), supporting Sizewell C. As part of the CWA, you will support the building of Sizewell C, a 3.2-gigawatt power station generating low-carbon electricity for around 6 million homes.

The Legal Support Manager will provide support to the lawyers within the CWA's Legal team to enable the team to provide high-quality, practically focused legal service. This will include:

  • Conducting legal research
  • Drafting simple documents
  • Liaising with other functions within the CWA
  • Assisting the Procurement and Commercial functions with negotiating and amending NDAs and supply chain contracts
  • Taking responsibility for getting NDAs and supply chain contracts executed
  • Maintaining a central repository of all executed NDAs and supply chain contracts
  • Assisting with any claims management under supply chain contracts
  • Preparation of relevant legal team reports
  • Assisting in developing the CWA's suite of contracts for procuring works/services from the supply chain
  • Helping to create processes, policies and documentation to embed the requirements of the head contract into day-to-day operations
  • Overseeing the preparation, documentation, and storage of all legal agreements and correspondences
  • Maintaining accurate records for audits, dispute resolution, and compliance checks

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Either an undergraduate degree in law, or a non-law degree with a Graduate Diploma in Law (or equivalent), or a relevant CILEX qualification
  • Experience of working on high-value energy/infrastructure projects desired, but not essential
