Help shape the UK's energy future with the Project Controls Reporting Manager opportunity within the Civil Works Alliance (CWA), supporting Sizewell C. Sizewell C will be a 3.2-gigawatt power station generating low-carbon electricity for around 6 million homes and will play a key role in our energy future, supplying reliable, clean electricity for at least 60 years.
As part of the CWA, you will support the building of Sizewell C. This is a senior leadership role where you'll manage integrated project controls across one or more sections of Sizewell C, ensuring we deliver this transformational energy project with precision, integrity and excellence.
About the opportunity
This role sits within the PMO reporting directly to the Head of Project Controls. You'll be responsible for implementing a comprehensive project controls strategy, managing programme, productivity and cost through integrated Earned Value Management, while upholding safety, quality and project integrity at every level.
What you'll be responsible for:
- Lead the delivery of project controls requirements, ensuring compliance and adoption across the CWA.
- Manage the project controls function on one or more sections, including strategic direction, vision and management planning.
- Implement the Civils Work Program WBS, CBS, OBS and all associated coding structures for effective project segmentation and reporting.
- Lead the development and implementation of Earned Value Management (EVM) and reporting systems for cost and time performance.
- Generate all types of progress and performance reports including metrics, trends, forecasts and recommendations.
- Lead establishment and maintenance of systems for reporting and forecasting performance.
- Manage change within contractual boundaries, analysing impact and maintaining programme integrity.
- Champion HSE and Nuclear Safety as embedded principles across your teams and the broader project.
- Promote Digital Engineering tools and establish integrated digital business systems linking BIM data with scheduling and budget.
- Build and maintain trusted relationships with our Client (NNB and EDF), acting as a strategic advisor.
- Lead high-performing teams through recruitment, development, coaching and mentoring.
- Create an environment where teams, roles, skills and behaviours align with business objectives.
What are we looking for?
Who you are:
- A results-driven leader with at least 12-15 years leading project controls on complex, mega infrastructure projects for leading international tier 1 contractors.
- Qualified to APM PMQ, APMG Project Planning and Control Practitioner level or equivalent (MRISC preferred).
- Expert in contract, cost and EVM systems including PRISM, Unifier and InEight.
- Passionate about excellence, willing to go the extra mile and continually search for ways to add value.
- A champion for HSE and Nuclear Safety who embeds these principles throughout your work.
