Help Shape the UKs Energy Future. Lead Estimator Opportunity with the Civil Works Alliance (CWA), Supporting Sizewell C.
As part of the CWA (Civil Works Alliance), you will support the building of Sizewell C. Sizewell C will be a 3.2-gigawatt power station generating low-carbon electricity for around 6 million homes and will play a key role in our energy future, supplying reliable, clean electricity for at least 60 years.
Responsibilities include:
- Managing a multi-skill level estimating team (Senior Estimator, Estimator, Assistant Estimator) to develop both cost planning and pricing for the Alliance Services and Plant & Logistics section of the project.
- Feeding into the Head of Estimating on the project to ensure consistency in estimating approach set out by the client.
- Stakeholder management to produce the Estimate e.g., planning, procurement etc.
- Presenting, negotiating and justifying prices produced in an open and honest manner to both senior leaders within the business and/or external customers/partners.
Requirements:
- Proficient in the use of excel and similar software.
- Experienced estimating background using Candy Estimating Software.
- Experienced estimating background using RIB Cost X Quantification & Estimating Software.
- Mobile and flexible.
- Infrastructure Main Contractor background ideally in the Civil engineering market.
- Commercial or operational background considered.
