Help shape the UK's energy future with the Civil Works Alliance (CWA), supporting Sizewell C. As part of the CWA, you will support the building of Sizewell C, a 3.2-gigawatt power station generating low-carbon electricity for around 6 million homes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support in the implementation of procurement strategies and processes.
- Assist with sourcing and formally agreeing an appropriate supply chain.
- Compile robust tender enquiries and manage the formal tender process.
- Coordinate the commercial and technical reviews of tender returns through engagement with specialist functions.
- Manage the tender negotiation process.
- Develop robust recommendations for formal award approvals.
- Draft, issue, and execute contracts in accordance with project procurement guidelines.
- Develop the project supplier database linked to Compete For, including market assessments and bid support performance.
- Develop local, diverse, and SME engagement strategies and assist in hosting Meet the Buyer Events.
- Support the development of the Local Sustainable Procurement Plan.
- Apply an ethical approach to the responsible procurement of goods and services, ensuring compliance with professional standards and legislation.
- Demonstrate an understanding of procurement and commercial principles.
- Manage supply chain performance and reporting.
- Ensure a relentless focus on Zero Harm.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Essential: Understanding of procurement operational activities and basic experience in the workplace environment.
- Desirable: Student member of the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply working towards chartership (MCIPS) or with another construction-focused institute.
- Working towards industry qualification obtained - Diploma Level 4, HNC in Building Studies, or Degree qualification.
