Job Purpose: Acquire and develop new and existing customer prospect opportunities for the company to meet annual revenue and growth targets. Small service works and projects of £750,000 to £2 million to be targeted and also annual growth of 20% to be achieved. The Sunderland branch is targeted at £2.5 million annual.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- Continued management of existing customer relationships
- Contribution to, and implementation of, the company growth strategy
- Promotion of our products/systems, and services throughout North England and further as required
- Plan and develop new customer base including resource strategy where applicable
- Deliver presentations/lunch and learns, to new and existing customers
- Provide technical advice on piping components, equipment, and services
- Liaising with external and internal colleagues to ensure efficient and effective follow up of potential job/manpower requirements
- Recording and hosting monthly team meetings to review sales activity/pipeline
- Ensure company CRM system is updated as required
- Liaise with QA team over project delivery
Person Specification:
- Background in the Oil and Gas industry and/or Hydraulic industry essential
- Previous experience with Business Development, acquiring new accounts and Project Sales
- Drive and determination to push the client's brand and develop the UK market
- Customer/account knowledge, within the oil & gas/marine markets including EPCs and industrial land-based businesses
- Proven external sales track record
- Knowledge of hydraulic systems would be advantageous
- Competent PC skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
- Positive attitude to learn, develop and progress within a large global organisation
- Willing to travel nationally and internationally (if required) at points with the role
