As a key member of the site leadership team, you will be instrumental in driving our clients' business forward. This is a fast-paced role in a growing business, requiring someone with a proactive mindset, flexible approach, and attention to detail. The successful candidate must be highly organised, reliable, and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Roles and responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with the COMAH regulations.
- Conduct and chair HAZID, HAZOP, LOPA studies along with relevant specialists.
- Manage the COMAH intervention plan.
- Manage and maintain the various reporting systems.
- Compile statistics for reports and presentations.
- Develop and write internal health and safety procedures/docs including safe operating procedures, toolbox talks, safety alerts, and one-point lessons.
- Manage the occupational health and hygiene programmes.
- Investigate and record accidents of injury, near misses, environmental incidents, and cases of ill health.
- Manage the site's objectives and targets.
- Conduct audits.
- Monitor EdApp/MYC systems for compliance.
- Liaise with relevant authorities where required.
- Implement improvements to current working processes driving continual improvements.
Essential Personal Qualities:
- 4 years experience in a SHEQ related role.
- 3 years in a process safety role with COMAH experience.
- NEBOSH or equivalent qualification.
- Process safety background.
- Working knowledge of reaction chemistry.
- Well organised and able to manage own workload.
- Excellent PC skills.
- Experience of SHEQ reporting systems.
- RCA/incident investigation.
