About the Role:
We are a long-established telecommunications contractor seeking experienced self-employed MDU installation teams to join our expanding operation across West London and the outer boroughs. We're looking for two types of specialist teams:
- Block Cabling Teams
- Run internal MDU wiring (1st and 2nd fix)
- Pull input fibre from the nearest chamber/pit to the comms room
- No splicing or testing required
- Splicing & Testing Teams
- Splice onto the fibre network
- Complete fibre testing and traceability
- Connect to network and provide test results
- Must be confident with network activation and customer handover
Essential Requirements (All Applicants):
- Operate as a 2-man team
- Own reliable van and full tools
- Fully insured with Β£2m+ Public Liability Insurance
- Must have valid and in-date qualifications:
- Block Cablers:
- NRWSA (Streetworks)
- SA002 β Underground Safety
- SA020 β MDU Fibre Installation
- K008 β MDU Cabling & Joints
- N028 β Internal Fibre Cabling
- NO29 β External Duct Networks
- UKATA Asbestos Awareness
- Splicing Teams (Additional Requirements):
- SA001 β Overhead Safety
- NO29 β Fibre Network Splicing
