The Role
As a Stock Controller, you will play a key role in the day-to-day operations of the store, ensuring all stock is received, organised, and dispatched efficiently. You will be responsible for maintaining stock accuracy, supporting the shop floor, and ensuring online and in-store orders are fulfilled seamlessly.
Key Responsibilities
- Goods In
- Receive, unpack and check all deliveries against delivery notes
- Verify quantities, SKUs, colours and sizes
- Report any discrepancies promptly
- Organise and store stock correctly, ensuring items are protected
- Stock Management
- Maintain a clean, organised and efficient stockroom
- Ensure stock is easily accessible and correctly categorised
- Support stock-takes and inventory checks
- Online & Store Operations
- Prepare stock transfers and support online order fulfilment
- Pick and process click & collect orders
- Ensure timely and accurate dispatch of customer orders
- Customer Dispatch
- Pack and prepare customer orders for delivery
- Create shipping labels and coordinate with couriers
- Ensure all orders are dispatched accurately and on time
Requirements
- Strong attention to detail with good numerical accuracy
- Organised, methodical and able to manage workload independently
- Reliable, punctual and proactive
- Physically able to handle stock (some lifting required)
Desirable
- Previous experience in stock control, retail operations or goods-in
- Familiarity with stock management or EPOS systems
- Interest in premium or heritage retail brands
