Long-established international clothing manufacturer requires a Garment Technologist for its London office to be responsible for the quality and fit of samples for all our womenswear Tailoring customers. You will form part of a multi-functional team dedicated to the design, development and production of garments for several leading clothing retailers.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Drive the fits and seals at all stages of production from 1st fit through to production samples.
  • Provide technical advice on garment make-up, advising design on production viability without jeopardising cost.
  • Check samples for measurements, quality, construction methods, fabric and labelling and set standards for the factory.
  • Lead the sealing process to ensure approvals are achieved within the required time frame.
  • Liaise with Womenswear team and customers.
  • Manage fit meetings with the customer and report fit comments back to the factories.
  • Occasional travel to the offshore factories to assess products at pre-production and production AQL stages and also customer visits.

Skills and Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Garment Technologist.
  • Proven track record in working with offshore factories, establishing and maintaining quality and fit standards.
  • Excellent hands-on experience of the fit process through to the final production sample.
  • Extensive experience working across Women's Tailoring is essential.
  • A confident, enthusiastic, proactive individual with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to interact effectively at all levels.
  • Ability to organise and prioritise workload.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Have machine, fuse and pattern background.

We offer an attractive salary, comprehensive benefits package, and 25 days holiday per annum in addition to bank holidays. Job Type: Full-time - 5 days a week in office.
