Production Merchandiser - 12 month Maternity Cover
Our client is Long-established international clothing manufacturer requires a Production Merchandiser for its London office to manage key accounts and form part of a multi-functional team dedicated to the design, development and production of garments for several leading clothing retailers.
Responsibilities:
- Plan factory capacities in advance of season
- Manage production from order placement through to delivery
- Attend customer meetings from design brief through to weekly work meetings to discuss any issues & to continue to build good relationships
- Daily communication with buying offices/factories.
- Manage/create seasonal critical paths, delivery flows & order books.
- Work with team to drive timely approvals against deadlines and resolve delays before they impact on launch
- Liaise with fabric mills on initial prices, greige bookings, delivery schedules.
Skills and Requirements:
- Educated to Degree standard
- Two years plus merchandising experience in the clothing industry (supplier background as opposed to retail)
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- A confident, proactive approach capable of working effectively in a team under pressure in a demanding fast paced environment
- Ability to interact effectively with suppliers and colleagues at all levels.
