We are looking for an experienced Outerwear Designer to join a creative team specializing in men's and women's casual and formal outerwear. The ideal candidate will have a supplier background in outerwear design, an understanding of fashion trends, and direct experience working with offshore factories.
Responsibilities
- Design & Concept Development: Create seasonal collections for men's and women's casual and formal outerwear.
- Fabric & Material Selection: Source and recommend fabrics, trims, and materials suitable for various outerwear styles.
- Product Development: Lead the product development process and create tech packs.
- Trend Analysis & Market Research: Conduct ongoing research into global fashion trends and consumer preferences. Travel for trend research, trade shows and to offshore sample facility.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in outerwear design, with a focus on casual and formal.
- Strong portfolio showcasing experience in outerwear design for both men's and women's fashion.
- Demonstrated experience working with suppliers and manufacturers, particularly in Bangladesh or similar production environments.
- Proficiency in design software (Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, CAD software).
- Strong understanding of fashion trends, colour theory, and garment functionality.
