I'm looking for an exceptional designer to join a London-based Brand, shaping the future of womenswear collections.
The Role
- Reporting to the Head of Design, you will play a pivotal role in designing and developing our womenswear collections, ensuring they reflect both our heritage and modern sophistication.
- Designing seasonal womenswear collections aligned with brand identity, market trends, and customer expectations.
- Creating mood boards, colour palettes, technical drawings, and fabric selections.
- Overseeing the sampling process, fittings, and ensuring the highest quality standards in garment construction and finish.
- Collaborating closely with the production and buying teams to ensure design feasibility and cost targets.
- Researching market trends, competitor collections, and emerging innovations to keep designs fresh and commercially relevant.
- Attending and contributing to range planning and creative concept meetings.
- Working to critical path deadlines, ensuring timely delivery of samples and final products.
- Championing the brand's aesthetic while introducing modern, trend-conscious elements.
The Candidate
- Minimum 2 years of experience in womenswear Tailoring design, preferably within the premium or luxury fashion sector.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating creativity, technical skill, and an understanding of elegant, tailored womenswear.
- Excellent knowledge of garment construction, fit, fabric properties, and finishing techniques.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) and CAD software.
- Awareness of current fashion trends, consumer preferences, and the competitive landscape.
- Great communication skills with the ability to present ideas clearly to cross-functional teams.
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail and time management skills.
