We are seeking a talented Womenswear Designer with a focus on Structured Wovens (Denim, Tailoring & Outerwear) to join a well-known British Fashion brand. The successful candidate will support the Head of Design in reflecting the creative vision of the brand while contributing to the commercial strategy of the business plan.
Responsibilities
- Design structured categories and support other design categories as needed
- Contribute to the brand direction as guided by the Head of Design
- Drive sales momentum in the structured categories and demonstrate a proven track record of commercial sales and industry design success
- Create mood boards and conduct seasonal research to highlight key trends
- Develop a seasonal colour palette for the brand as directed by the Designers/Head of Design
- Design wovens add‐ins and individual pieces of the collection as directed
- Lead fit sessions, manage design packs, and ensure tasks are completed to meet critical path dates
- Prepare for meetings with Design management and manage all PLM inputting and product development
- Collaborate with various teams to maintain consistency of quality and fit across the product range
- Act as the point of contact for research & development communication with suppliers
- Assist backstage at the seasonal showcasing of the latest collection
Qualifications
- Minimum 4 years of experience in women's apparel, specifically in the woven category
- Proficiency in hand sketching and computer-aided design
- Experience with systems such as PLM or PDM, 3D work, CAD, and an eye for prints, textiles, and embellishments
- Proven ability to work in a fast‐paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
Day-to-Day
The successful candidate will be responsible for designing structured categories, supporting other design categories, conducting seasonal research, leading fit sessions, managing design packs, and collaborating with various teams to maintain consistency of quality and fit across the product range.
