Our client are a trusted British home brand, to ensure excellence in the product we are looking for a Quality & Compliance Manager to play a key role in protecting the standards and supporting their continued growth.
The Role
As Quality & Compliance Manager, you'll be responsible for ensuring that all products meet the highest standards of quality, safety and regulatory compliance. Working closely with the Buying and Product Development teams, you'll embed quality throughout the product lifecycle - from concept through to production and beyond. This is a handsâon, influential role, ideal for someone who enjoys working crossâfunctionally, managing detail, and making a real impact on product integrity.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure all products comply with relevant UK and international legislation, standards and retailer requirements
- Own and manage product quality and compliance frameworks
- Partner with Buying and Product Development teams to ensure quality requirements are built into product design and sourcing
- Oversee supplier compliance, including testing, audits and corrective action plans
- Manage product testing programmes with external laboratories
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date technical files and compliance documentation
- Monitor changes in legislation and proactively advise the business
- Support internal and external audits, inspections and regulatory enquiries
About You
You'll be an experienced quality or compliance professional with a strong understanding of product safety in a retail or consumer goods environment.
You bring:
- Proven experience in a quality, compliance or technical role (retail, homewares, kitchenware or similar preferred)
- Strong knowledge of product safety legislation and regulatory requirements
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Confidence working with suppliers and external partners
- Clear communication skills and the ability to influence stakeholders
- A practical, solutionsâfocused mindset aligned with Lakeland's values
