We are seeking a highly skilled and strategic Operations Manager to oversee and optimize all aspects of our operational performance. This role is pivotal in ensuring supply chain efficiency, cost control, and team productivity, aligning operations with our broader strategic business objectives. The ideal candidate will be proactive, solutions-focused, and possess strong leadership capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage logistics operations, including warehousing and transportation with 3PL partners, to fulfil both B2B and B2C demand across multiple brands and locations.
- Guide the team in order fulfilment, sales order processing, and managing operational exceptions to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Collaborate with 3PL partners to optimize logistics capacity, particularly during peak and promotional periods.
- Maintain and enhance logistics SOPs to drive compliance, streamline processes, and support seamless operations.
- Oversee returns processes, reviewing policies and assessing risks and opportunities to balance efficiency, compliance, and brand protection.
- Lead operational improvement projects to enhance reliability, stability, and the overall e-commerce delivery experience.
- Manage logistics spending, implement cost-saving initiatives, and work towards annual efficiency targets.
- Ensure effective inventory management by investigating discrepancies and driving continuous improvement measures.
Key Skills & Qualifications
- Proven experience in operations management, ideally within FMCG or similar high-volume industries.
- Strong knowledge of supply chain management, logistics, and procurement strategies.
- Excellent negotiation and cost-optimization skills.
- Proficient in inventory management and warehouse operations.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Analytical mindset with data-driven decision-making skills.
- Effective communication and cross-departmental collaboration skills.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and operational software, preferably Sage.
Preferred Experience
- Experience managing operations for a diverse product portfolio.
- Previous work with international supply chains and 3PL providers.
- Prior knowledge and experience with international container/air shipping logistics is required.
- In-depth understanding of Incoterms and how they apply to international shipping, customs, and freight processes.
- A track record of achieving cost reductions and process efficiencies.
- Experience with technology platforms such as Shopify, and Amazon (Vendor/Seller Central).
