About the Role: We are working with a fantastic fashion brand currently seeking an experienced Merchandise Planner to join their head office team. This is a brilliant opportunity for a commercially minded and analytically driven planner to play a pivotal role in driving sales, managing stock, and maximising profitability across their omniāchannel business.
Key Responsibilities
- Achieve and drive business goals and objectives including sales, inventory, and gross margin.
- Forecast storeālevel budgets and build sales curves using historical data and planning metrics.
- Create Open to Buy (OTB) forecasts, summarising key insights and plans for the team.
- Determine OTB requirements by store and set up Seasonal Option Plans ahead of buying campaigns.
- Identify and recommend opportunities to improve sales performance through stock transfers, reorders, and trading actions.
- Define the topline Seasonal OTB strategy in collaboration with key stakeholders ahead of each seasonal campaign.
- Oversee sizing strategies for seasonal buys and continuity lines, adapting to market and customer trends.
- Recommend and implement stock rebalancing, transfer, and markdown strategies in partnership with the Allocator.
- Produce weekly and monthly trade reports, sales analysis, and trade commentary.
- Deliver inādepth postāseason analysis to inform future product and inventory strategies.
- Provide adāhoc sales reporting and insights for senior management.
What Weāre Looking For
- Graduate calibre with 3+ yearsā experience in a merchandising planning role within fashion retail.
- Advanced Excel skills with the ability to manage and analyse large data sets.
- Strong quantitative, analytical, and commercial awareness.
- Clear and confident communicator, able to work with a variety of teams and stakeholders.
- Proactive, organised, and resultsāfocused, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Logical problemāsolver with a solutionsādriven, entrepreneurial mindset.
- Collaborative team player who can build strong relationships and mentor junior team members.
- Experience with BI reporting tools highly desirable.
