Our Client provides fashion to the world's leading brands and global retailers. With over 30 years in the industry and offices in the United Kingdom, United States, Germany and Spain, and manufacturing hubs in Turkey and Bangladesh. We are looking for a Menswear Designer to work on woven and jersey product, with a minimum of 4-5 years experience in Men's Casual wear.

Responsibilities

  • Researching trends and key items seasonally based on the catwalks.
  • Put together trend boards and prepare relevant research on themes, colours, trims techniques and fabrics.
  • Maintain knowledge of relevant trends within the season to advise and support customers along the way.
  • Work in collaboration with the graphics team and offshore design teams as needed.
  • Initiate comprehensive design CADs/technical specs for the company Black Label range and customer own brand samples.
  • Presenting CADs samples and fabrics to retail customers.

Ideal Candidate

  • In-depth knowledge of garment construction with a good understanding of wash and other techniques.
  • Extensive knowledge of fabric and fabric development/ finishes.
  • Advanced knowledge of Illustrator, Photoshop, and Microsoft packages.
  • Experience in research and initial board ideas, through to design development and detailed Tech Packs.
  • Knowledge of trends and researching new trends within relevant market.
  • Flexible/adaptable in a fast-paced environment.
  • Highly self-motivated and proactive, with excellent communication skills.
  • Previous supplier experience essential.
