As a Junior Buyer, you’ll support the buying team in sourcing and developing a commercial product range that aligns with the brand’s identity and meets customer needs. Key Responsibilities
- Product Range Development: Assist in building a well-rounded range that reflects current trends, market demand, and brand standards.
- Supplier Management: Work closely with suppliers to ensure quality, timely delivery, and alignment with company goals.
- Sales and Market Analysis: Monitor product performance and gather insights to improve the product range.
- Competitor & Customer Analysis: Conduct competitor research and gather customer feedback to influence product decisions.
- Cross-Functional Support: Collaborate with merchandising, design, and marketing teams to ensure products align with business objectives.
- Administrative Support: Handle day-to-day administrative tasks such as data entry, reporting, and sample management.
- Product Samples: Organise and manage product samples for meetings, reviews, and presentations.
Key Requirements
- Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Fashion, Business, or a related field, with some experience in a retail buying environment preferred.
- Product Knowledge: Strong interest in fashion trends and commercial products suited for the brand’s target market.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to analyse sales data, identify trends, and make recommendations for improvement.
- Communication & Negotiation: Confident communicator with strong supplier liaison skills and the ability to work with cross-functional teams.
- Organisational Skills: Ability to multitask, prioritise effectively, and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
- Proactive: Self-motivated with a passion for learning and improving business results.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel; familiarity with retail buying systems is a plus.
