About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Department Manager to lead the Ladieswear Ready-to-Wear department in one of the most prestigious retail environments in London.

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead, coach, and inspire a team to achieve individual and departmental KPIs.
  • Define goals and regularly review performance, providing real-time coaching and feedback.
  • Identify and nurture talent, supporting career development and succession planning.
  • Foster a collaborative and positive work environment.

Client Experience

  • Ensure every client receives outstanding service and attention.
  • Cultivate a client-centric culture and drive database growth through effective data capture.
  • Support the team in building long-lasting relationships with clients.

Product & Sales

  • Drive sales performance for the department, analyzing results and implementing improvement strategies.
  • Enhance product knowledge across the team to boost KPIs such as UPT and cross-selling.
  • Share market insights and customer feedback with senior management.

Operations

  • Act as a key leader in the absence of senior management, overseeing store operations including opening/closing.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy and manage stock effectively.

Profile & Requirements

  • Proven experience in a similar retail management role.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Commercially minded with a passion for fashion and client service.
  • Agile, proactive, and solution-oriented.
  • A team player with a collaborative mindset.
  • Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
