Job Overview

Our client, a long-established international clothing manufacturer, requires a Production Merchandiser for its London office to manage key accounts and form part of a multi-functional team dedicated to design, development and production of garments for several leading clothing retailers.

Responsibilities

  • Plan factory capacities in advance of season
  • Manage production from order placement through to delivery
  • Attend customer meetings from design brief through to weekly work meetings to discuss any issues and continue to build good relationships
  • Daily communication with buying offices/factories
  • Manage/create seasonal critical paths, delivery flows & order books
  • Work with the team to drive timely approvals against deadlines and resolve delays before they impact on launch
  • Liaise with fabric mills on initial prices, greige bookings, delivery schedules

Skills & Requirements

  • Educated to Degree standard
  • At least 2 years of merchandising experience in the clothing industry (supplier background)
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
  • A confident, proactive approach capable of working effectively in a team under pressure in a demanding fast paced environment
  • Ability to interact effectively with suppliers and colleagues at all levels
